1. What are you proposing to build at Bohannon Park?
The David D. Bohannon Organization is proposing to build a hotel, athletic facility and office complex on two sites totaling 16 acres in Bohannon Park. The 206-room hotel and 695,000 square feet of office buildings work together as a complementary set of land uses. The western portion of the project will house the hotel and athletic club, one of the office buildings and a five-story shared parking garage on Independence Drive. The other two office buildings, two smaller parking garages and an extensive garden and plaza are proposed for the site at Constitution Drive.

2. What types of business tenants will the new facility house?
The David D. Bohannon Organization team has partnered with Marriott to develop a Renaissance ClubSport, which will provide an exceptional hotel and athletic club facility on the project site. Marriott is a proven hotel industry leader, and the Renaissance ClubSport brand is a unique concept that combines a boutique style hotel and a 70,000 square foot sports club in one dynamic offering. Key components of the Renaissance ClubSport include a full service spa facility, an open membership sports club complete with state-of-the-art equipment, personal training and group exercise classes and an ultramodern bar and restaurant featuring healthy menu choices and all day food service.

3. How far along are you in the planning process? All Menlo Park City Council and Planning Commission meetings are open to the public and advance notice is provided on the City's website. Over the next few months, we will consistently update our website as more information becomes available regarding the planning process.

4. When will the new structure be open?
Our team is eager to move forward with this project as it presents an exciting opportunity for the City of Menlo Park. At the same time, it is our priority to do the necessary work and outreach to build the project in a manner that responds to the community's concerns.

5. Will you be meeting with members of the community regarding your plans?
Absolutely, we understand that community input is an essential component of a successful planning process. Over the next several months we will provide multiple opportunities for residents to learn more about the project and submit feedback.

6. What kind of jobs will be available as a result of this project?
The project will provide 1,800 net new jobs once the project is complete and about 1,800 new construction jobs for a two-year period.
