THE SITE
The proposed project at Bohannon Park is located between the Bayfront Expressway and the 101 freeway in Menlo Park.
DESIGN
The David D. Bohannon Organization has enlisted the architectural expertise of Community Design + Architecture, DES Architects and Engineers, and the Dahlin Group - three of the most proven and exceptional design firms in the region - to develop an innovative design for a cutting-edge project at this important Menlo Park location.
We have committed to setting a new standard with respect to green development in Menlo Park, as our plans emphasize the use of green and sustainable design principles, including: integrating storm water management with the landscape design, designing the buildings and their mechanical systems to minimize energy use, selecting green building materials and utilizing sustainable construction techniques. The project also is designed to support carpooling and other eco-friendly transportation choices.
PUBLIC BENEFITS
The proposed project will revitalize the area while preserving the look and feel of the downtown core. It will replace the obsolete buildings at this site with a mixed-use project well positioned to generate tax revenue for Menlo Park. The project is expected to generate significant revenue for the City of Menlo Park, which will allow the City to consider new services and programs and possibly restore services that have been cut in recent years.
Additionally, the project will provide 1,800 net new jobs once the project is complete and about 1,800 new construction jobs for a two-year period. The project site is conveniently located at the center of a transportation hub with easy access to the 84 and 101 freeways.
